My Mission

I am dedicated to empowering smart women with business ideas to create meaningful and fruitful livelihoods on their own terms. I enjoy digging into the nuts and bolts of a business, understanding challenges, brainstorming innovative solutions, prioritizing objectives, and devising action plans. Clients appreciate that I have been in their shoes and bring a wealth of experience and perspective to the table, The end result is a clarity of purpose that reduces overwhelm, reignites motivation, and increases confidence.  


My background, in a nutshell.  

After earning a BA in art history from Smith College and working for the Smithsonian Institution, I earned an MBA from Boston University's Questrom School of Business where I caught the entrepreneurial "bug."  I was hired by an environmental start-up and years later started my own marketing consulting firm. In 1997 I founded and grew my own venture-backed dot-com until our exit strategy was thwarted by the fallout from 9-11, and we decided to wind down the company in 2002. 


For the next 15 years, as my husband and I grew our family, I continued to work with startups and nonprofits in the retail, arts, education, internet, and service sectors. In 2017 I founded InANutshell Consulting to advise female founders on business development, marketing, and growth strategies. In 2019, I founded the Women's Impact Mastermind to guide small groups of founders to accelerate their business through interactive peer training and accountability. The curriculum is based on coursework with world-renowned experts and focuses on guiding founders to master their mindset, margins, and messaging and up-level their businesses with more ease and joy.

It's simple. First, we hop on a 20-min Discovery call to get to know each other, This allows me to understand your mission and top business challenges.  


Next we book a Deep Dive Session to unpack your business objectives in more detail. I'll make initial recommendations and together we determine a package that meets your needs, timing, & budget.
